DESCRIPTION:From humble beginnings as an immigrant from Italy\, D'Agostino started as a struggling street musician in San Francisco. He also painted houses and sold vegetables to support himself. After playing on Fisherman's Warf for tips he quickly was employed by some savvy restaurant owners\, then by some upscale club owners. The talent of Peppino D'Agostino was not to be denied. He was then noticed by Italian film maker Luca Barbareschi and hired to score the film "Ardena". The years of struggle had finally paid off! Peppino has had a long and distinguished career since those early days in 1985\, a career filled with many honors and highlights. From scoring music for the surfing cult classic movie "Blazing Longboards" to his showcased participation with the "World Guitar Ensemble" in Europe you know this is not just another guitar player. Peppino's most recent accolade from Guitar Player Magazine as BEST ACOUSTIC GUITARIST by its readers in the Reader's Choice Awards in May 2007\, shows D'Agostino's wide appeal. This award is a tribute to his talent and the enormous fan base developed from his extensive international touring.
