Based on the Pulitzer Prize winning play, this film is set in a Catholic school in New York in 1964. The principal, Sister Aloysius (Meryl Streep in her Academy Award nominated performance), feels certain that a priest (Academy Award nominee Phillip Seymour Hoffman) is sexually abusing one of her pupils, who happens to be the school's first black student. The priest denies the charge and it becomes her word against his in this study of religion, morality and authority. A $2 donation supports the library. For more information, please call (949)248-5132
