The First Friday Film series presents two documentaries by Errol Morris, about whom Roger Ebert has said, "After twenty years of reviewing films, I haven't found another filmmaker who intrigues me more." First will be Gates of Heaven, a remarkable documentary about pet cemetaries and their owners in which humorous and poignant moments weave together with more complicated and frightening moments to bring us larger issues such as love, immortality, failure and chasing the American Dream. That will be followed by Vernon, Florida a documentary intersplicing random chatter of the genuinely eccentric residents of Vernon Florida. A $2 donation supports the library.
