Joyce Moreno will perform two shows, at 6:30 and 8:30 pm, on Saturday, June 26 in the courtyard of the San Juan Capistrano Library. One of Brazil's hidden treasures! Born in Rio de Janeiro, it isn't surprising that Joyce gravitated to the fertile jazz scene that existed in Brazil. Also an accomplished guitarist, song-writer and arranger, she began her career in the 1960s and has recorded over twenty solo albums to become one of Brazil's most popular jazz artists. Her music bridges a variety of styles including samba, bossa nova, Musica Popular Brasileira (MPB), and of course jazz. A rare treat and she's coming here! Don't miss it. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Seating is open, so come early for a good seat. Attendance at the second show is usually lighter.
