SJC Historical Society Annual June Membership Mixer

On June 16, 2018 the Society is hosting its Annual June Membership Mixer at the O’Neill Museum. T

he event is from 3:00 PM until sunset and is free to members. Guests are invited at a cost of $10.00 per person.

Homemade “Johnny Diaz” famous tacos, salad, refried beans, deviled eggs and homemade deserts will be served. This year the event is special.

We will be recognizing Gwen Vermeulen’s 40 years as Executive Assistant to the Society and her 90th birthday.

There will be an election of directors and a vote by members on the revised By Laws. Copies of the By laws are on the Society website, www.sanjuancapistranohistory.com, or in the office at the O’Neill Museum.

After a four and half year restoration project, the Silvas adobe will be open to members. Many of the past residents or descendant of the Silvas adobe will be attending the event and share stories and lore with the attendees.

The membership mixer is a great time to visit with old friends, meet new ones and get acquainted with some of the historic families of San Juan Capistrano. Reservations are required so we can plan on the food and beverages.
