Please mark your calendars and plan attending the 32nd Annual Heritage Bar B Que on the grounds of the O’Neill Museum. The menu this year includes BBQ tri tip and chicken, tasty ranch beans, potato salad, seasonal vegetables, cornbread with honey. The food is provided by local Marty Well’s Bad to the Bone BBQ and served by the Society volunteers. Dessert will be fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. Bottled water and soft drinks are included in the ticket price. Wine, beer and Margaritas can be purchased at a nominal cost.
The Annual Heritage BBQ is an important fundraiser for the Society, so it may continue the important work of preserving historic documents, photographs and artifacts. The financial support of the attendees also ensures the continuing preservation and maintenance of the historic structures on the Society’s Los Rios Street property.
The fully restored and rehabilitated Jose Maria Silvas adobe will be open for touring as well as the current Pirate Exhibit of Bob Minty’s maritime collection in the Arley Leck House.
The outstanding traditional raffle baskets will be on display and the opportunity drawing for the guests will conclude the late afternoon event.
RSVPs are required to make sure we have enough food. Get your tickets early since it is usually a sold-out event. We look forward to you spending the afternoon with us on the beautiful grounds of the O‘Neill Museum.
