The San Juan Capistrano Library will host its second annual World Wide Knit in Public Day. This free event will run from 10-2 on Saturday, June 16 and will focus on Knitting for Charity. Bring your preemie caps, prayer shawls, lap afghans, Warm Up America squares, Red Scarves or other knitted items to donate. An entry for one of our many raffle prizes will be given to for each knit or crochet item brought to donate to charity.
If you don't know how, our Learn to Knit Classes at the event will help you get started.
The library is located at 31495 El Camino Real, one block north of the Historic Mission. Exit Ortega Highway off I-5 and turn west, then right on El Camino Real. The library is 2 blocks north with plenty of parking across the street to the right. Or - even better - take the train and knit all the way here. The train station is an easy 2 block walk from the library.
For more information about our event, contact the San Juan Capistrano Library at 949-493-1752, ext. 3 and ask for Lori A.
